Is diet planning really a difficult task?

Have you been obsessed with counting calories on your calorie tracker? Are you not able to keep up with your daily calorie intake? . Isn’t there another way to eat healthy and not just focus on achieving our “macro goals? Without further ado, let’s answer all these questions in your head!

The problem isn’t with eating foods which are high on calories. It’s what happens after. Processed foods which contain carbohydrates increase our insulin levels. This directs our body’s cells to store calories as fat. This is why it’s so easy to devour a big bag of chips and still feel famished.

When this is done over and over again, our metabolism works against us. In order to keep our calories around longer, our metabolism rate slows down and we begin to feel hungrier.

How can we solve this issue? I think it’s logical to say that counting calories or avoiding fats / carbs isn’t completely the right way to lose fat or gain weight in the long term.

Instead of choosing a calorie based diet, we can go with a natural diet picking from all three categories: one high in fiber, like a vegetable or whole grain; a protein source (tofu and paneer or meat if you are non-vegetarian); and a healthy fat, like nuts and yogurt.

Although natural foods is the best alternative for a calorie based diet, there are still some chances to overdo it. We can avoid it by doing the following tasks:

1.Be mindful when you eat: short notes on how you feel inside will help you pick up the signals of hunger and fullness better. This will also help you to eat slower.

2.Get enough sleep: this is the most important of all. Poor sleep messes with hormones related to hunger, causing an increase in hunger and cravings. So, make sure you’re making time for a good night’s sleep.

3.Eliminate eating junk foods between your meals: Although you are trying to not count your calories, your ultimate goal for fat loss would be to eat lesser than what you were consuming before; especially reducing your junk food intake. Not eating between your meals should accomplish this.

If you still feel that it seems to be a difficult task, here’s a short trial:

For the next one week, try to reduce your processed sugar intake to zero. Reduce your complex carbs as well. Try to rely on fresh fruits and vegetables.

I know it may sound far fetched, but it’s harmless and guarantees great results!
